I Want To Be Paid For Living Within The Law

Here is another example of the City of Jacksonville (Florida) government of breaking its neck to supply an entitlement or funding to the 1000+ non-for-profit organizations to show compassion.  If you are an at-risk student susceptible to criminal activity have free college tuition on the taxpayer’s nickel.  If you are model student or live within the framework of good clean living, get your own funding to go to college.

Even though the City of Jacksonville is now forced to reconcile a new city budget because of the passage of the Florida Property Tax Amendment, is speaks volumes about the priorities of the City of Jacksonville that they would place a higher priority on another new entitlement and threaten to lay off employees of our necessary public safety entities i.e. Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office & Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department.  City of Jacksonville has no money for public safety but there is money to spend on our ‘disadvantaged’ for a new entitlement.  Why can’t the City of Jacksonville combat the escalating crime situation and simply expect all citizens to live under the same rules of achievement?  Yes I know, I have already answered my own question unequal expectation to produce an equal outcome.  It is the government mantra these days.

First of all, criminal activity is a moral issue.  Bribing an individual not to commit criminal activity by monetary compensation is a short-term solution at best plus the government has now enabled another individual to join the dependency class in America.  Who thinks up these theories that government money in the pockets of criminals is going to change the moral fiber of a criminal?  I would bet my paycheck that the money is used to buy drugs and guns to create even more crime in Jacksonville Florida.

Why stop with at risk children?  Let’s pay the parents of at risk kids for going to work on top of their earned wages, grocery shopping, taking their children to doctor or dentist visits, or going to church.

Where can I sign up?  I want to be part of the criminal element in Jacksonville if you are going to reward me.  What is the incentive of the law-abiding citizen in Jacksonville Florida but a slap in the face with another government entitlement obligation and a higher property tax assessment?  If mayor John Payton and/or the ex-mayor John Delaney want to assist at-risk students susceptible to criminal activity pay for the free college tuition on your nickel.
