I keep asking myself, why should I submit to random drug tests (typically urine) to acquire and maintain my job. After each pay period, the government confiscates my assets so that my taxes are re-distributed in the name of ‘compassion’ to an entitlement recipient. Corporate America expects my behavior on and off the company clock to be within the Local/State/Federal legal framework.
Florida entitlement recipients have no such expectations. Why should they receive my earned drug-free tax money and not be expected to be drug-free them selves? It is a major irritation that each documented recipient on the government dole can sit on their tail end and do drugs while I am working drug-free. Just think of the savings that the taxpayer would incur if the entitlement recipients were held to the same drug-free standard. A negative drug test result in exchange for a positive government check. Yes I know this contradicts the government edict of expanding the entitlement recipient enrollment.
Governor Charlie Christ (Florida) and the rest of the Florida Legislators, make sure our Florida entitlement recipients are as happy and comfortable in our Sunshine State.
