Over the past half-century, we have become exposed to several planetary scares. In the late Sixties, we were told of a population explosion that would lead to global starvation. Then, a little later, we were warned the world was running out of natural resources. By the Seventies, when global temperatures began to dip, many eminent scientists warned us that we faced a new Ice Age. But the latest scare, Global Warming or Climate Change (Whatever is convenient to the argument), has engaged the political and ‘Orwellian’ Liberals to a greater extent any combination of these planetary scares.
The "Greener Skies 2008" conference had just heard from David Archibald, a solar scientist asserting that climate change is mostly dictated by solar cycles and not by carbon dioxide levels, as recent activist political opinion suggests. In a few years the Ice Age is returning and additional carbon dioxide is necessary to combat the impending Ice Age.
World needs more CO2....

If in fact America now does a knee jerk reaction and prepares for the next planetary scare, will Al Gore’s company Generation Investment Management's be required to issue Carbon Debits for the extra CO2 or quietly file for bankruptcy and allow the Federal government to bail it out on the taxpayer’s nickel? Will the Federal government force us to drive H2’s (Hummers) and subsidize the evil oil companies to entice us to purchase more gas to assist in the production of the additional CO2?
I am waiting for the next human caused planetary scare named ‘Climate Stagnation’. America is one of the affluent and sedentary civilizations on this planet. By sitting around and watching endless Television, nothing excites atmospheric molecules to the point that the weather stops altogether, and government funding will be required to fund research for the environmental scientists in order to create a giant Julia Childs with a spatula to give the planet’s atmosphere a good stirring.
