California Today Trans Fats Tomorrow Balloons

Well the land of fruit and nuts continues to march ahead banning anything legal and wholesome while overlooking enforcement of anything currently illegal like the illegal alien invasion. The State of California is now wrestling with difficult issues like trans fats, foil balloons, and the confiscation of anything else, which is enjoyed or consumed by the law-abiding citizen. California’s other issues like a run away state budget deficient and the un-willingness to allow the propagation of new power plants and the search of new power sources to fuel their own state economy are unpopular political commitments and go unresolved due to the demands of the Liberals (Socialist). I wonder if Karl Marx, Lenin, or Trotsky ever imagined such government control could have ever been enforced on the proletariat and America has not officially converted from a Republic to a Fascist state yet. One point can be made; the caring Nanny State of California has now become the nasty Dominatrix with the recent events of tyranny against personal freedom and the free market.

The Nanny State of California (Dominatrix) has successfully forced a statewide ban on restaurant and bar prepared foods with trans fats by 2010 and for retail prepared foods with trans fats by 2011. What happened Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger? Have you turn into a ‘Girlie Man’ concerned about your figure? If Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger felt so sympathetic to the healthy food cause, why did he not extend the trans fat ban to the governor’s mansion and government facilities to show his support for the health cause? Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is an avid cigar smoker. Take the initiative and ban your cigars so that you are personally effected by government tyranny. It would not surprise me that trans fats in the private home become the next target in 2012. Why not make trans fat more illegal than marijuana with harsher penalties?

Not to be outdone at the State level, the Los Angeles City Council passed a law that would bar fast-food restaurants from opening in South Los Angeles for at least a year on Tuesday. The ban covers a 32-square-mile area about 500,000 residents for one year, with two possible six-month extensions. If South Los Angeles is not depressed enough economically, the halt of fast-food restaurants will most likely force potential business tax revenue and employees to flee to other locations. As with the typical government mentality, the government will then drip into the citizen tax base again to re-coop the tax revenue losses continuing to drive out the law abiding tax payer which always results in a depressed government dependant microcosim. In the old days this was referrred to as ‘White Flight’ but most of the individuals of pallor have already left California to Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico. I wonder how many ‘Healthy’ restaurants will survive on the tastebuds of the illegal aliens?

Next on the list of items to be banned. California State Senator Jack Scott has drafted a bill to ban foil balloons; it sailed through the state Senate and now awaits a vote in the Assembly. There are actually two arguments for the ban. First, the foil balloon potentially has the ability to cause a power outage; a metallic foil balloon must come in contact with two power lines at once. There has been no documented instance of power outages or injuries related to foil balloon removal. Secondly, environmentalists say the balloons sometimes float out to sea, where the foil balloon could be ingested by marine animals that later die from gastrointestinal blockages. Only one instance has been documented where a dead animal (whale) contained a foil balloon in its stomach and there is no proof that the foil balloon even caused the animal’s death.

Why is it popular in America to be concerned about the one in a million or more odds issues to scream to the world how much someone cares instead of the common issues? If California is so concerned about animals potentially ingesting plastics, do you think California would take a serious look at condoms? I am sure that there or more condoms disposed of than those pesky foil balloons. With all the environmentally friendly laws against products in California why has not the State government mandated condoms to be bio-gradable? It would probably not occur, condoms promote questionable sexual practices and sexual freedom and that conflicts with the Liberals (Socialist) lifestyle. Can’t have that. Sexual protection trumps the environment in the Liberal mindset. As absurd as this state has become, it would not surprise that one-day, the State of California legislates virginity illegal by a certain age.

The only reason why I am concerned about the tyranny in the state of California is because typically this state initiates political movements and social policy that spreads to other states in the Unites States. I wonder how much government tyranny this county will endure before a Thomas Jefferson reaction can occur if any? I wonder if the strong willed independent spirit is extinct in this country. Thomas Jefferson mentioned that Rebellion is not just a matter of correcting wrongs committed by the government, and thus only valuable if its cause is just; it has an intrinsic value, regardless of the justness of its specific grievances and goals. Periodic rebellion is necessary to guarantee the health of a society and preserve public freedom. Thomas Jefferson wrote "God forbid we should ever be 20 years without such a rebellion". By my calculation America is well overdue.
