Barack Hussein Obama feeling hubris about himself preaches the message of 'Spreading The Wealth' on some else’s nickel but, his Marxist ideology also has another unintended harmful consequence beyond killing the human spirit of high achievement. I believe that the human spirit of high achievement/greed (depending on your worldview) in combination with a strong Judeo/Christian faith centers a man in a civilized manner of competition to acquire wealth. When a tyrannical parasitic government rations the goods & services desired by society for social engineering and/or ‘fairness’ per Marxist ideology, a portion of the society will still find a goods & service channel through unorthodox means to satisfy their consumption.
In all societies who have facilitated a form of Marxism, organized crime has always been there to facilitate the unlawful supply channel; Russia, Vietnam, Italy, etc. Organized crime is always the big winner. Organized crime works in coordination with the Marxist political class to provide them goods and services in exchange of knowledge of dissent within of the population, an unholy alliance which benefits both sides who feed on tyranny. The Marxist political class is always immune of their own tyranny control. Organized crime also provides goods and services to the proletariat. Over time organized crime becomes stronger and more vicious than the Marxist political class by the accumulation of wealth and an established working infrastructure of supply chain management and intelligence. Organized crime then begins dictating government policy.
As the communism economic model was beginning to collapse in the USSR, Gorbechev commenced to promote the free market economic model in the late 1980’s. Organized crime did not appreciate the free market competition and the lower profit margins. The period 1990 to 1998 was a wild and unstable time for local entrepenuers and foreign investors to conduct business in Russia. Thousands of foreign investors arrived in Russia from all over the world during the early and mid 1990s to seek their fortune and to cash in on the transition from a Marxist based economy to a free market society. This period was referred to by many of the businessmen as the ‘second great gold rush’.

Entrenched organized crime of 60+ years was not going to easily release its death grip on the supply chain of goods & services. Even today kidnapping, extortion, and murders are very common part of life in Russia. Actual crime statistics seem to be difficult to find after 1996.
I scratch my head in amazement why the majority of Americans are seduced by Marxism. I see Americans wanting to utilize the force of government to harm others because of the ideology they have, because of differences of wealth, or differences in lifestyle. As America wants to attempt the same failed social/economic experiment, government is more than willing to confiscate power and private wealth so those who spite others can feel good about them selves.
If in fact America does become USSA (United Socialist States of America), the proletariat will have more to contend with than just a parasitic tyranny State. Once the State issues the proletariat their daily rations, the next knock on the door will by organized crime. The individual has to make a decision; do they pay a cut of their rations for safety and slowly starve or do they stand in dissent and die while the State looks the other way.
I believe that the free market economic model is still the best manner to satisfy the human spirit of high achievement, competitive prices, and wealth accumulation for all citizens. Easy access to goods and services takes the life force out of organized crime to form and grow.
