While lecturing to his legion of Justice Department bureaucrats, Attorney General Eric Holder last week called America a "nation of cowards" for not spending more time talking about race. As a man of pallor with no ‘White Guilt’ ( http://dmkooker.blogtownhall.com/2007/09/26/emancipation_proclamation_from_white_guilt.thtml ) let me stand in front of the queue and getthis race conversation started.
It is a real shame the Equal Rights movement has evolved into a full circle. First it was separate but equal in the 50's, then equal integration where everyone is treated by merit in the late 60's, and then evolving back to separate but equal. Every individual is sub-grouped and granted permission to perform behaviors and legal protections that another sub-group of individuals cannot have thus bringing racial harmony to the sub-groups. It makes no sense at all but that is the beauty of Diversity. Heaven forbid American live by the same rules of life, which are independent of race and lifestyle.
Frankly I am getting very tired of everyone else’s ethnic heritage being documented on a calendar and/or television in a positive manner except for individuals of pallor. March is a month where us Caucasians are at our prime in the Northern Hemisphere. We have been wrapped in out Land's End warm clothing for several months and now it is our time to show off our pasty whiteness in its full glory before we become bronzed sun worshipers. It is a time for individuals of pallor to celebrate and tell our contributions to American history even though it is not documented or taught in public schools anymore.
Is America's pre Civil War history so offensive and horrible that Television and public schools cannot acknowledge that individuals of pallor actually lived and breathed on this fruited plain called America and actually produced other industry that is not slavery? It happen over 150 years ago folks give it a rest. It is just like the History Channel must by operated by Jewish management. The History Channel will not get off the Jewish persecution and World War Two. Just call the History Channel the Hitler Channel instead. Give it a rest. Can we not acknowledge it happened 70 years ago, the world has learned from the history lesson and move on? I am very tired of everyone attempting to exploit their ethnic group as victim status of an event in the past and continue to acquire & promote the victim status from the past to be forever used as a reason to acquire some kind of elevated political and legal status over another ethnic group.
Let’s add extra fuel to the fire. The current ethnic generations should be kissing their fore-father’s gravestones and thanking them for paying the heavy price of injustices for today’s generation enjoyment of freedom and affluence here in America. Africa has as many natural resources if not more than America and Canada combined. Yet Africa has always been a sinkhole of humanitarian foreign aid and just plain human misery. I believe even with unlimited monetary funds, care, and education Africa still could never pull itself out of its dilemma.
Black History month is contained in the month of February. If February is a short calendar day month, I am surprised that race baiters like Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton have not howled about the racial injustices of the coloured man being shorted again on a 28/29 day Black History month. Oh the injustice that Black History month was not placed on a month of 31 days. But again will the race baiters ever be satisfied withracial harmony? They have built an industry and powerbase on racial strife.
There is no doubt in my mind that the Justice Department will be working in coordination with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to stifle free speech on the radio airwaves with some equivalent FCC mandate to the ‘Fairness Doctrine’. When that happens Attorney General Eric Holder, will you also be diligent in suppressing race-baiting venom from such race baiters like Al Sharpton, Jessie Jackson, Reverend Jeremiah Wright, or Father Michael Pfleger?
