Lately on the television you cannot help but see competing income tax preparer companies advertising commercials to prepare our annual user-friendly Federal tax returns. It is that time of the year for us responsible American citizens to prove our patriotic duty and pay our taxes so that our beloved enabling government can redistribute the collected taxes to our other dependant class of American citizens. I suspect that our dependant class is being rewarded for not contributing to the next world's crisis of Climate Change by their idleness and not creating additional Carbon Dioxide (Co2). 'Share the Wealth' as our President Barack Hussein Obama likes to tell our high achievers.
Particularly, Hewitt Jackson commercials have been flooding the television airwaves lately. On every Hewitt Jackson commercial, you see a healthy and smiling Magic Johnson. His complexion is good and I suspect that his BMI (Body Mass Index) would classify him as obese. Maybe I am an old-timer (45 years old) but I distinctly remember all the news media sensation (television and radio) back in 1991 broadcasting Magic Johnson had just announced that he had contracted the HIV virus. NBA basketball teams refused to play basketball against Magic Johnson because of the fear of possibly contracting the HIV virus. Abruptly Magic Johnson retired from professional basketball. Magic Johnson returned to win the MVP of the 1992 All-Star Game. After protests from his fellow players, Magic Johnson retired again for four years, but returned in 1996 to play 32 games for the Lakers before retiring for the third and final time.
Magic Johnson has been involved in community education to "help educate all people about what [HIV] is about" and educate others not to "discriminate against people who have HIV and AIDS." He has advertised for drugs from GlaxoSmithKline and Abbott Laboratories to reduce HIV / AIDS infections among the African-American community.
Since then Magic Johnson has had the HIV virus for 18 years now and does not seem to experience any symptom of the HIV virus; no unsightly body scabs, weight loss, or pneumonia like symptoms. I am curious, what is his secret? Back in the 1990's once someone contracted the HIV virus, the individual had 5 to 8 years before they died of full blown AIDS. Does Magic Johnson's body contain a mystical mutated gene or anti-virus, which can combat the HIV / AIDS virus and save humanity around the world or was his HIV diagnosis a charade all this time?
