The result of the conversion delay has had some really nice results. The analog channels are not being broadcasted at full strength and the digital channel broadcast wattage has been reduced since they are not mandated to broadcast in digital yet. So while us responsible citizens wait till June 12 2009, I can decide whether to watch very grainy analog channels or very choppy digital channels.

If 850,000 deadbeat irresponsible citizens on the Gulf Coast could not find the motivation to scrape the barnacles off their backend and flee a life-threatening category 5 Hurricane (Katrina 2005) with a four-day notice, does the irresponsible enabling Federal government really think that delaying the analog to digital conversion from February 2009 to June 2009 is really going to help the irresponsible subset of society? I bet even if the Federal government was proactive and signed these individuals up and delivered the TV Converter Box to their doorstep, the irresponsible citizen would still not make the effort to install the TV Converter Box to their antenna and television.

Since Obama’s presidential administration’s principle is the glorification and enablement of the irresponsible citizen, lets expand the functionality of the 2010 US Census counters. Since the US Census counters will already be going door-to-door to perform our Nation’s headcount, just have the US Census counters perform the 10-minute TV Converter Box installation. Maybe then there will be no further delay excuses why America cannot move forward and actually make the analog to digital television airwave conversion.

When it came close to your retirement, you Baby Boomers broke voting ranks from the conservative Depression generation and decided to revive the Liberal movement and demand government services to cater to your age bracket so that your retirement account would not be consumed by your living needs like prescription drugs. It is easy to be a Liberal (Socialist) when you are on the receiving end of the government entitlement. The last two years of a human life typically cost more than all other years of one's life accumulated. Good luck trying to receive those precious last two years of life with rationed Nationalized health care.   Thanks to Nationalized health care you are going to experience an exit from this Earth like Terri Schiavo.

As a Generation X’er, I am irritated that the good time party hardy check from the Baby Boomers generation has been sent to me and my children plus with past due interest. I do not understand the selfish and narcissistic mental process of the Baby Boomer generation that they feel entitled to enact Government entitlements that benefit one generation but places the majority of the fiscal responsibility on the next generation as a government mandated Ponzi scheme? Don’t mind me working long hours to pay for your retirement check, medical bills, and prescriptions while I also scrimp to pay for my basic needs.

My generation (Generation X) seems to have some concerns about what happens if the Baby Boomers do not retire and their chances of moving up the corporate food chain.   Personally I am not convinced or concerned that my career path in Corporate America will be hindered if the Baby Boomers decide to delay their retirement. As long as our economy is not completely Nationalized, economies and companies will expand and jobs will be created. It is not a zero sum economy. The expansion will also accommodate Generation X and Y Corporate career growth.

From my opinion, the economic collapse was good timing. It is justice served to the Baby Boomers for the Ponzi scheme you tried to pass on. As long as the Baby Boomers are working, America will not have to import a foreign work force and it keeps the Baby Boomers out of my wallet screaming for more Federal entitlements. I hope this experiment of Socialism in America shows the absolute tyranny against personal & financial control and will teach a lesson to three generations simultaneously the actual tyranny of Socialism.

In my case, cynicism gets worse with age because I already know the outcome from the types of participants in any given event. One begins to see the same patterns of behavior over and over again. In the past two years, I have compiled another Kooker rule to my list. It is Kooker’s law number 6.

Anytime there is a lunch provided at an event whether it is at work or at church inquire who is involved on the lunch committee. If the alpha female on the lunch committee has a BMI (Body Mass Index) of 30% or greater, avoid the organized lunch at all cost if you are NOT on a diet. Economy sized (fat) women always want to show in public how dedicated they are to their battle of the bulge and also want you to participate in their struggle also. As a healthy male who does a lot of physically activity, I am in good shape and do not have rolls of fat on my body. I want to enjoy a good heart clogging lunch that sticks to my ribs and gives me energy to support my active lifestyle. Guaranteed 9 times out of 10, the health diet lunch menu will be tuna or chicken salad with small side salads and unsweetened iced tea. I do not know how other healthy individuals feel about tuna or chicken salad but to me it smells like cat food.

The net result is I have to scramble around the table looking for crackers, rolls & butter, or some other small entrée that compliments the cat food smelling lunch that is edible and discretely discard the cat food smelling lunch. If employers and churches want more participation during their organized lunches, please consider us non-dieting individuals when deciding on your lunch list of options.

My son scares me on occasions with his questions, his conversation topics, and his obvious worldly observations. On those particular occasions I have to take a double take at my son and question whether I am talking to an 8 1/2 year old boy or a little adult. It makes me proud to think that my son is using his gray matter as God intended us to use it and it also makes me find humility when I have to say to him, "Son I really do not know that I can answer your question". As a parent, we tend to think a child is just a little person that is not as educated as ourselves.

On our weekend morning walks, we (my son, Susie the American Bulldog, and I) have a special 2 1/2 mile trek that we make around the neighborhood that satisfies everyone. We first walk past my rental properties so that I keep constant observations on their condition. On the way back we walk the creek that flows through the Willowbranch Park and watch the wildlife on the creek banks. Sometimes my son is quick enough to catch a painted or snapping turtle, play with it for a few minutes then release it back into the creek for the next week's capture. Susie gets to sniff new dog butts at the park.

The last portion of our morning walk takes us past the public basketball courts and two baseball fields next to the municipal library. In the morning hours there will be 30 to 40 coloured individuals playing basketball or cheering the teams on. You cannot help but hear the 'N' word used at each other at least once in every sentence at the top of their lungs. The music pumping out of their boom boxes containing lyrics of violence, crime, and the 'N' word again.

Our walks continued for 7 months then my son innocently asked me as we were walking past the basketball courts, "Daddy, why can't we use the 'N' word, they are using it"? I was for a loss of words since I always stressed in my child raising practice to my son not to use the typical 'Seven' bad words plus the 'N' word. The behavior by the coloured individuals at the basketball courts and in the neighborhood really punched a hole through my worldview of social behaviors that I had taught to my son which were considered bad behavior. My expected behavior must have been very confusing to him and hypocritical that he finally had to ask the question that carried the conversation topic for the rest of that walk.

The coloured community uses the 'N' word in their music and it is considered art and entertainment. Chris Rock and Chappell use the 'N' word in their comedy like it is going out of style and it is considered funny. The coloured individuals playing basketball use the 'N' word as a form of endearment and bonding. If the ‘N’’ word is used in the coloured community as a positive word why is it so bad when a white individual uses it? That makes as much sense as me telling Brian, a white person, you can call me 'Cracker' but Tyrone, a coloured person, if you call me 'Cracker' you will be using a surgeon to remove my foot out of your tail end.

It makes no sense at all but that is the beauty of Diversity. Every individual is sub-grouped and granted permission to perform behaviors and legal protections that another sub-group of individuals cannot have thus bringing racial harmony to the sub-groups. In the innocent eyes of an 8 1/2 child, diversity makes no sense. Children do not seem to make the distinction of race and the correlation to special behaviors and rights. They just see another individual to play tag or play soccer with. It is a real shame the Equal Rights movement has evolved into a full circle. First it was separate but equal in the 50's, then equal integration where everyone is treated by merit in the late 60's, and then evolving back to separate but equal.

One thing that I will never do is to instill ‘White Guilt’ to my son. I am not sensitive to racial discussions. I am an equal opportunity offender to all. Specifically to black and white relations or to any other race, I refuse to say sorry for past transgressions way before my time, dance around the racial issue with sensitivity, or hold any ‘White Guilt’. I have expressed my ‘Emancipation Proclamation From White Guilt’ to the world through Townhall in the past.

At the end of the walk, I finally told my son, "If the 'N' word is good enough for the coloured community then it is good enough for me. I cannot see any reason why not to use the 'N' word until the coloured community condemns the use of it and halts the use of it themselves. Yes son you may use the 'N' without discipline from me. Just be aware of the potential illogical consequences of its use by others."

It is very ironic that America has martyred Martin Luther King for his efforts in civil rights but America never learned the actual essence of his message; to not judge a man by his colour of his skin but by his character. One set of rules of life for all men.

Since my divorce six years ago, I began to frequent the Flea Markets around the Westside of Jacksonville Florida. At that time I had just lost my job, I was penniless, and living/renting a friend’s third bedroom of his house. Money was so tight that I used my son’s baby trailer on the back of my bicycle for hauling groceries from the grocery store because I had to choose between gas for the car or groceries to eat. I was just a breath away from financial proceedings. After 2 months, I found another job and began to buy some of life’s necessities and start my life again. With the available money I had, Wal-Mart seemed expensive so I decided to try the local Flea Markets. For the price of one pair of work boots at Wal-Mart, I was able to buy a similar pair of boots, a bag of white socks, soap, and a small animal toy for my son. This is no mock against Wal-Mart but I was starting from scratch with very few dollars in my pocket. Just having the life’s necessities were more important than quality at that time.

Under the Military Commissions Act, the president (now including President elect Barack Hussein Obama), can seize citizens as ‘enemy combatants’ even if they have nothing to do with Islam Jhadist because an enemy combatant can be anyone who has purposefully and materially supported hostilities against the United States.

On July 31 2008, the Justice Department proposed a regulation that would allow state and local law enforcement agencies to collect ‘intelligence’ information on individuals and organizations even if the information is unrelated to a criminal matter. Keep this idea in mind as I digress four paragraphs and then I will tie the two ideas together.

I must admit that I am very concerned about Barack Hussein Obama’s governing style. Barack Hussein Obama has done more than any candidate to boost expectations of how personally involved presidential policy can affect our lives and how he can implement policy without regard of the House and Senate. I believe America is getting very dangerously close to an imperil style of government or Socialist dictatorship. During the Presidential inauguration will Barack Hussein Obama decide to coronate himself as Napoleon Bonaparte did and spit at the Legislative process?

Valerie Jarrett who is residing on s Barack Hussein Obama’s transition committee and has been tapped as Barack Hussein Obama’s Senatorial seat replacement said during the recent Meet The Press:

There is one president at a time. President Bush is still the president. He's graciously invited President-elect Obama to the White House tomorrow to begin their conversations of the transition. So we respect that. He will be the president until January 20th. However, giving--given, really, the daunting challenges that we face, it's important that President-elect Obama is prepared to really take power and begin to RULE day one. So we will be working closely with his administration. We're reviewing the agencies now. He will be making key personnel decisions. He gets national security briefings every day now as well, but he will not be the president until January 20th.

I believe Valerie Jarrett gave an honest key insight of Barack Hussein Obama’s governing style when she used the word ‘rule’. Barack Hussein Obama plans to rule and not govern including the House and Senate voting on the government initiatives.

Prime Minister Raila Odinga claims to be a cousin and a close friend of Barack Hussein Obama. On Barack Hussein Obama’s first ever trip to Kenya, August 2006, Barack Hussein Obama rallied in support of Raila Odinga at political forums. Raila Odinga had the support of Kenya's Muslims who make up only 10% of the total country’s population. According to Raila Odinga’s website, Raila Odinga lists himself as a social democrat trying to distance himself from his late father, who was openly socialist His party, the LDP, is affiliated to the Liberal International(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberal_International) Sharia law is interwoven in the Islam worldview and is solely based on submission and good works to Muhammad and Allah. Again there is no voter representation but a fascist dictatorship form of government.

The combination of George W. Bush’s groundwork of critically diminishing essential individual liberties under the U.S. Constitution in the name of ‘War On Terror’ and Barack Hussein Obama’s imperial governing style & endorsement of a Civilian National Security force that is just as powerful as the military puts America just a breath away from Socialistic dictatorship, which has absolute power to imprison political and social dissent. Would the American government establish our own version of the Gulag as part of the Civilian National Security force? Penal labor camps like those of the Soviet Union known as a place for political prisoners and as a mechanism for repressing political opposition to the Soviet state.

Barack Hussein Obama and his Democratic supporters endorse the ‘Fairness Doctrine’ to initially control the radio airwaves. Barack Hussein Obama has hired former FCC Commissioner and Fairness-Doctrine proponent Henry Rivera to run the team that will select the next FCC Chairman. Just realize that reinstating the Fairness Doctrine requires nothing more than a majority vote of FCC Commissioners. This seems like the first most likely confiscation of U.S. Constitutional rights under Barack Hussein Obama’s watch. Those who dissent to the current state politics on the radio airwaves could very easily be considered ‘enemy combatants’ and imprisoned.

It scares me to consider Barack Hussein Obama’s thin skin to anyone who disagrees with him. Just ask the three reporters who worked for the newspapers that endorsed Presidential candidate John McCain. Barack Hussein Obama's campaign removed them from his airplane. I think it very telling how Barack Hussein Obama will treat dissent.

You just need to peek over our kissing cousin’s border in Canada to see how the Canadian government is perusing free speech as hate crimes with severe punishment. Just google Mark Steyn as an example. This time Mark Steyn was acquitted

The near future will tell how America will control political dissent when America is controlled by an imperial governing style & a Civilian National Security force. ANWR may be finally developed. Not for drilling oil but for imprisoning society and political dissent. ANWR, the American version of Russian Gulags.

The secret ballot is a voting method in which the voter’s choices are confidential.  The emphasis is to ensure the voter records a sincere choice by preventing attempts to influence the voter by intimidation and/or bribery.

Executive orders do have the force of law when made in pursuance of certain Acts of Congress, when those acts give the President discretionary powers.  However, the Congress may override a veto with a two-thirds majority to end an executive order.  If Barack Hussein Obama finds open voting for the unions successful to promote organized labor, would the ‘Messiah’ also consider such a principal in 2010 and 2012 elections to safeguard the Democrat party government control and his own presidential ambitions?

In the past three Presidential election cycles, I have observed a growing trend of aggressive in-your-face challenges and vandalism as individuals disagree on candidates.  For example, in my neighborhood (Jacksonville Florida) Barack Hussein Obama supporters/thugs were very aggressive toward anyone who displayed McCain/Palin signs on their lawns or bumper stickers on their vehicles.  I would guess that half of the homes that did not display McCain/Palin signs on their lawns because they just did not want the extra antagonism in their life.  The Obama supporters/thugs were also approaching people in shops & on the sidewalk and were questioning individuals of their presidential choice.  I had to tell one to ‘hit the road’ while my son and I were enjoying BBQ for lunch two Saturdays prior to the Presidential election.

If voting for Local/State/Federal political officials were to be made public by next election cycle and voter confrontation continues to escalate, voters may not choose their actual choice of candidate but a choice for the mere fact of perceived safety.  Anyone casting a vote for political official(s) which are unfavorable choice(s) to thugs (example Black Panthers in Philadelphia PA) loitering around the voter polls could potentially alter political outcomes.  I am sure that Jimmy Carter’s experience of vote monitoring in rogue dictatorships in foreign countries would find no fault with open ballots and certify the election results as fair and honest.

Such an action for the acquisition of power would eliminate voter confidence in the voting process and mark the transition of this Republic into a socialist dictatorship.

As a professed Libertarian for the past 10+ years, I am unpopular with both big government political parties, Republicans and Democrats. Republicans find Libertarians disgusting but tolerate us because our ideology is too stingy against non-authorized U.S. Constitutional spending and no emphasis on legislated Judeo/Christian morality. Democrats loathe Libertarians because we believe in strict interpretation of the U.S. Constitution and we value a person by their merit. As I view the big government political parties, there is only a gray shade of difference between the Republican and Democratic political parties. Both want to social engineer to their party line morality and both believe in re-distribution of wealth. The only difference is the Republicans stay two steps to the right of Democrats just to state: ‘Hey we are more conservative than those other guys’.

As with typical Liberals, when a Liberal smells dissent to their political position, the Liberal has to engage the dissenter. The political exchange always quickly goes from facts, to talking points, then to personal attacks. The all to common Stalinist tactics of Political Correctness in America would make Marl Marx happy. These days I just avoid 99.9% of all political discussions with Liberals. Why battle wits with an un-armed person anyway?

For no good logical explanation, I became good friends with a Liberal at a local cigar store four years ago. Chris Gallo was a trust fund blue blood from northern Virginia who had Liberal views closely aligned to Hillary Clinton. You could not help notice his sense of entitlement as an elite Liberal. He would have a roll of 100 dollar bills in his pocket and had no shame asking for a free gas fill up for his cigar lighter at the cigar store but was offended when the store owner asked him to just purchase a can of cigar lighter gas. He was involved in upper society social outreach galas for the provided food and beer but did not contribute his own personal resources.

What separated Chris Gallo from other Liberals was that he would actually reason with you without making the discussion personal in nature and would constantly interject humor to keep the discussion lively. Chris Gallo had no problem agreeing to disagree and walk away. Sometimes we would schedule times to debate at the local cigar store. Other times we may meet at a local watering hole; debate a topic, purchase another pitcher of beer, and then move on to another topic to debate. Even though his Liberal worldview made my skin crawl, you understood that he absolutely believed in what he debated. He was intellectually honest. He made every effort to live by the golden rule.

Unfortunately for many trust fund blue bloods there is a sense of entitlement, which they feel, is owed to them because of the social/economic level they were born into. I could sense the economic uncertainty of the past year was brutal to his personal investments. The 5 to 8 dollar cigars he used to purchase were replaced by 2 dollar cigars and cigars out of the dollar cigar jar. When I asked him why do you not get a job to supplement his means he responded that a job was not an option.

I will never know for sure but I theorize he realized his Liberal worldview had failed him financially and he was in serious financial trouble. The government sold him a false sense of security. All of the government’s involvement in forced ‘affordable’ housing regulations (sub-prime lending) in the home financial institutions finally broke the back of the financial institutions. The speculative value of his investments vaporized. The thought of acquiring a job was a fate worse than death to a trust fund blue blood. Last month my friend Chris Gallo took his life without notice as his escape. I do not fault the government for his death.

America lost a true role model of how a Liberal can debate their worldview with civility.

Mike Hogan the Tax Collector for the City of Jacksonville (http://taxjax.com/default.aspx) decided to try something new to collect new tax revenue. Create a new tax in the name of the environment, Storm Water Fee, and have the city owned utility entity Jacksonville Electric Authority (JEA) print the new tax bill, distribute the new tax bill, and collect the new city tax for the general city tax revenue. This way the taxpayer’s anger was deflected from the actual politicians at City Hall who wanted the new tax revenue and allows JEA to take the brunt of the taxpayer anger. To add insult to the injury the new tax was backdated prior to the actual City Council’s passage date of the new tax.

Jacksonville Electric Authority (JEA) is a public power and water utility entity owned and operated by the City of Jacksonville. The electric system grew from a department of city government to an independent authority created by the consolidation of city and county governments in 1967. On June 1, 1997, the water and sewer systems operated by the city since 1880 also became part of JEA's utility service offerings. JEA's governing body consists of a seven-member Board of Directors appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Jacksonville City Council.

By this taxation model, elected politicians can merely suggest more new taxes or increase existing taxes on the JEA utility bill and shield themselves from any political retribution from the taxpayer. If the taxpayer disagrees with the assigned taxes and protest, JEA can simply terminate the entire utility service of the taxpayer for non-payment.

I understand that public utilities like water, sewer, and electricity require a single infrastructure to provide effective services to the private citizen. Since public utilities is a monopoly, the public utility entity should be monitored by government regulation for potential pricing abuse. The charges from the public utilities should only be for utility services rendered. City government is a separate public entity, which governs the locality and collects taxes for approved initiatives of the local government. The two public entities should never combine power to make utility consumers dependant on paying city taxes. This very dangerous confiscation of power by the local government would make Joseph Stalin blush.

Do not be surprised if your local city government partners with public utilities in your municipality to force taxation obedience through public utilities in the near future.

Entrenched organized crime of 60+ years was not going to easily release its death grip on the supply chain of goods & services. Even today kidnapping, extortion, and murders are very common part of life in Russia. Actual crime statistics seem to be difficult to find after 1996.

I scratch my head in amazement why the majority of Americans are seduced by Marxism. I see Americans wanting to utilize the force of government to harm others because of the ideology they have, because of differences of wealth, or differences in lifestyle. As America wants to attempt the same failed social/economic experiment, government is more than willing to confiscate power and private wealth so those who spite others can feel good about them selves.

If in fact America does become USSA (United Socialist States of America), the proletariat will have more to contend with than just a parasitic tyranny State. Once the State issues the proletariat their daily rations, the next knock on the door will by organized crime. The individual has to make a decision; do they pay a cut of their rations for safety and slowly starve or do they stand in dissent and die while the State looks the other way.

I believe that the free market economic model is still the best manner to satisfy the human spirit of high achievement, competitive prices, and wealth accumulation for all citizens. Easy access to goods and services takes the life force out of organized crime to form and grow.

It is my belief that our high achieving Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (Florida) is allowing the crime to escalate at the expense of the taxpayer’s safety so the taxpayer will scream against any proposed property tax or sales tax cuts. For example, JSO police car 1321 will sit on the corner of King Street & Post Street and pick off the law abiding citizens for moving violations but allow the indigenous inhabitants of the neighborhood to deal drugs eight feet behind his police car. If the police are not going to protect the law-abiding citizen, well then the private citizen has to provide protection at their own expense above the taxes already paid to the City of Jacksonville for safety.

I work two jobs so typically I do not have the opportunity to walk SusieQ until 10 or 11 o’clock at night. In the past four months SusieQ has stopped two precarious situations from lawless predators. Both times the perpetrator(s) backed away from me before I unleashed the 70 pounds jaws of wrath. From my personal experiences of urban renewal, indigenous inhabitants of the neighborhood are more scared of aggressive dogs than they are handguns. If you miss your target by handgun, the perpetrator(s) just runs away into he shadows of safety. If you unleash the dog, the perpetrator(s) run away with the dog chewing on them. When SusieQ is in the back of the truck or in the truck cab, my tools are safe while I am paying for gas or having lunch.

I am in SusieQ’s debt for her safety and loyal friendship. My son and I saved her life, SusieQ has protected my safety twice. Ban the deed and not the breed.

On Saturday afternoon (11 Oct. 2008), Bryce and I noticed that there were 5 gold-coloured Khoi swimming in the Willowbranch creek just north of the Park Street Bridge. We were unsuccessful catching them on Saturday. On Sunday morning, we returned to the Willowbranch creek. We were able to catch one of the Khoi and transport it to a neighbor’s fishpond in their backyard. Personally I am even surprised that the pollution level from all the sewage and petroleum products flowing through the Willowbranch creek did not immediately kill the Khoi.

The water quality of the creek which flows through Boone Park is much cleaner so the frog, turtle, and fish population is much more vibrant. The portion of the creek, which flows around the open field on Herschel Street, contains non-native guppies, mollies, goldfish along with the native species of brim and mullet.

First emotion is great, there is something living in the city creeks but I do not like the balance of nature altered by non-native evasive species of animals. Nature spent a long time to find the perfect balance for our North Florida waterways. The ecology which attracts us to our neighborhood could really be altered with carelessness like this and change this ecology to something very undesirable.

It is bad enough that my son and I caught a ‘wild’ four-foot python just north of the San Juan Bridge on the Cedar River April 2008 while kayaking.

Please make every effort to find a proper home for your fish if they are unwanted. Please do not dump your fresh water fish aquarium in the local creeks.

Every night I walk my bulldog Susie and I also enjoy a fine hand rolled Nicaraguan cigar on our two-mile route. It has always confused me why the affluent households in my neighborhood have posted Obama yard signs and Obama stickers on their Volvos, BMW’s, etc. The thought kept rolling through my mind, what is the attraction with Obama to the affluent household, when Barack Hussein Obama wants to 'Share the Wealth' from the wealthy to the ‘disadvantaged’ (sad sack low achievers)?

The smell the smell of my cigar on my daily evening walk last week struck up a conversation with a gentleman who proudly displayed his Obama yard signs. After a few statements about cigars, the conversation quickly changed over to politics. As with typical Liberals, when a Liberal smells dissent to their political position, the Liberal has to engage the dissenter. While the Liberal ran down his list of typical talking points for his support for Barack Hussein Obama, I simply asked the gentleman, Sir if you live in a 900K house, own two Volvos, and live on an affluent neighborhood block why are you advocating more of the tax burden onto yourself? The gentleman quickly responded 'No' you are not listening to me; I am implying that the higher wage earners should be paying more of the tax burden. I live on a fixed income.

Immediately the entire elitists Orwellian Liberal concept came into focus and why large numbers of Orwellian Liberals have targeted high-income earners to pay more taxes. Those who have already have accumulated wealth, not that there is anything wrong with wealth, can shelter their wealth in a trust and then draw a small income which is considered poverty by government standards. In effect, the independently wealthy affluent individual can live on their trust in combination with government redistribution of wealth and benefits intended for the actual disadvantaged individuals. If the independently wealthy affluent individual needs a luxury item beyond the poverty level, buy it in the name of the trust fund for the affluent’s benefit. The dependant class and the independently wealthy affluent prosper on the high-income earner’s achievement. The actual taxpayers are now being squeezed by both sides of the social economic scale.

Unfortunately, I believe these independently wealthy affluent Barack Hussein Obama supports have fallen into the Socialist trap for short-term gains giving Barack Hussein Obama the needed electoral votes to become President. Right now the government progressively penalizes high income and wants to accelerate the taxation rate.   What is not stopping the government from confiscating accumulated non-income wealth next? Already our caring government officials are proposing strict oversight (control) of our 401k's and Barack Hussein Obama has not even been elected as President yet. Argentina has nationalized their 401k-investment system.

Recently Michael Herkov a professor from the University of North Florida was cited by the City of Jacksonville for feeding the homeless downtown. The reasoning for the citation was that the food quality could be questionable to the homeless causing health issues but, when did the homeless ever consider food quality when they go dumpster diving or begging for food at the restaurants at closing time? It would not surprise me if my well-fed bulldog Susie were more particular about what food she ate than the homeless. A tax-paying citizen would be grateful that another homeless person has been cared for with private funds and not from public funds confiscated from the private citizen's property.

By a 9-8 vote, the City of Jacksonville council has redefined the homeless feeding ordinance. Now a permit is required to feed 21 or more hungry homeless and also the location cannot be located in a residential area.

Frankly, I am so tired of listening why a ‘Go Gooder’ wants to help others but is restricted from actually helping others. Seems like a hallow wish of compassion to feel good about themselves without actually having to follow through. Actions can now trump the mere caring cliché. For all you ‘Do Gooders’ out there here is your chance to actually prove your compassion to the homeless. Fire up that stove, start cooking, and open up your property to the homeless.

I personally admire Michael Herkov for his own private compassion but I do not believe that enabling homeless behavior is such a good practice. I believe that poverty is a mental illness and rewarding it without self-improvement just merely perpetuates dependency. The bigger the pig trough, more pigs come to eat. Why feed them at all and attract more of them here to Jacksonville Florida?

I seriously question if the food health concerns are the real reason for the opposition voiced by the Sulzbacher Center to changed city ordinance. Is it that the well established ‘Caring’ homeless shelter really cares about the homeless or it is because the Sulzbacher Center is more concerned about other non-for-profit entities competing for the same city resources to survive as a non-for-profit entity?
