While driving to work today, I realized that the heterosexual community does not have a symbol to represent itself.  It seems that every race, religion, political party, health cause, and social cause is well represented with some kind of public symbol whether it is a bracelet or a bumper symbol.  Nothing screams to the world how much I care about a cause like a publically displayed symbol.  Actual effort is passé in this day in age.

As a heterosexual man, I feel left out and want to start an initiative to create a public symbol that states to the world that I am a man who likes women.  It would be like America having 50 states and the state of Florida not having a state flag to represent itself but is part of the Federal Republic.

A Hetero-Rainbow Sign would be very helpful to us heterosexuals here in Florida in our pursuit of meeting someone else of the opposite sex.  Florida is extremely well represented by the homosexual community.  On occasions, I feel like we are the minority.  Heterosexual mating would be expedited by informing others of your preference upfront without the awkward situation of asking and being disappointed.  I would even suggest that the Hetero-Rainbow symbol could have variations to also inform others of preferred position and frequency.

Let’s complete the diversity symbol spectrum by creating the Hetero-Rainbow sign.

A DISTURBING "sing-along" DVD for children which appears to glorify suicide bombing was last night under police investigation after being found on sale in Yorkshire.

The Yorkshire Post has obtained a disc of music videos – part of an Egyptian-made series – in which a young girl sings about following in the footsteps of her suicide bomber mother. A group of self-proclaimed orphans also rail against the West over the plight of the Palestinian people.

The children's DVD was purchased in Bradford and full details of the Leeds-based UK distributors are contained on the back of the cover.

The Yorkshire Post has handed over the material to the West Yorkshire Police specialist counter terrorism unit, and officers have confirmed that they are investigating the contents.

All three of the DVD's tracks are sung by children in Arabic with English subtitles.

This is where my Libertarian ideology kicks in from my Reagan social moral conservatism.  I have never entered the hotly contested big debate about the institution of marriage being defined as a legal union between a man and a woman.  If the activities between two legal aged adults (or more) is consensual, why is it illegal?  It does not affect my ‘traditional’ marriage, my child raising abilities, my personal security, and it does not affect my path to heaven as explicitly defined in the Bible.  The other participating individuals of non-traditional unions must bare the burden for their own actions.

Everybody wants the rights and privileges (i.e. tax benefits or expansion of employee benefits) that are allowed to 'traditional' marriages (One man and one woman) but, all other non-traditional marital arrangements do not want the consequences of an actual marriage.  If same sex marriages were legally forced to abide to the same legal confines good or bad of the 'traditional' marriages, the queers would quickly drop the initiative.  If the same common law marriage parameters applied to them see how fast they would acquire separate legal residences.  Consequences make individuals think twice about following through on an action by calculating the financial and/or legal exposure.

For example: If Rafael and Stephan get married and then two years later want a divorce, force them to go through the actual divorce process and mediation of; child support if applicable, alimony, and the division of community property.  Watch these two individuals start fighting and crying like little girls complaining how unfair the divorce process really is.  Reality would set in and would stop this same sex marriage initiative fast in its tracks.

From an opposite sex perspective, why is a man and/or woman only allowed to marry one of the opposite sex?  If a man can afford the financial burden and wants the burden of emotional torture of more than one woman why can't he be allowed to? (Or vice versa) It is his patience that his needed to deal with multiple PMS episodes each month and a fortune to afford multiple shopping sprees of retail therapy to please his wives.  Does his marriage affect negatively to anyone else? No….  Perhaps looks of envy from his fellow men wanting a harem of their own.  If he can afford the cost of children from multiple wives and he is a good father, why not?  How is this man harming his children or abusing his wives?

Let's take this idea a step farther.  If farmer Jenkins wants to marry his favorite pet goat, why can't he?  It still does not affect my marriage or child raising abilities, it does not affect my personal security, and it does not affect my path to heaven as explicitly defined in the Bible.  Farmer Jenkins is the one who must face the scrutiny of public opinion and legal consequences of marital law.   I am sure that his creator wouldn’t be pleased with him at the pearly gates.  I don't want to think about farmer Jenkin’s honeymoon.

This could really cause a big quandary in the Liberal community.  On one side, Liberal perversions of sexual activity would encourage farmer Jenkins to marry his pet goat to spite the moral fiber of this country.  On the other side, Animal rights activist would be screaming that the civil rights of the goat have been violated.

As for me, I personally think this is how a Christian proves his faith.  Not by enforcing his faith on others by legalism but, how he/she lives in an environment and still keeps his own faith.  It is the responsibility of ‘traditional’ marriage participants to show how marriage is a positive union between a man and a woman.  I wish America’s commitment to marriage were taken more seriously.  Today’s divorce rate of over 50% has rendered the institution of marriage meaningless even if there was a Constitutional amendment to specifically define it as a union between a man and a woman.

As a well-funded real estate investor, I love this housing depression.  Inventory is reasonably priced and contractors are begging me for anything to do.  For the past three-four years, I was always getting snubbed when I needed building maintenance assistance beyond my expertise.  Large subdivisions had preference over my ‘small’ jobs.

Last week I had a group of contractors review a house under renovations to bid on a historic wood floor re-finish job.  I noticed one of the contractors had an odd accent so I asked him where he was from.  He mentioned that he just moved to Jacksonville FL several weeks ago from northern Detroit MI.  He stated that economic times from the down sizing automakers are so tough that people were competing/fighting for 7 dollar an hour jobs.  Along with the tough economic times there is a large influx of non-assimilating Islamic immigrants who do not reside with a friendly neighbor attitude.  The contractor had to finally cut his home ties to Michigan and seek opportunities elsewhere.

The unions and the Federal government have finally killed the goose that laid the golden egg in Detroit (auto industry).  There is a point where the parasite(s) kills the economic host for subsistence and then begins to feed on itself.  Without industry there are no wages to buy things and pay for the mortgages.  I never understood why this is such a tough concept to understand by the liberals (socialist).  Entitlements have to be funded by some entity beyond government.  The government does not produce but absorbs resources.  The Liberal(socialist) politicians must be proud of their accomplishments.

Doing some quick research, I was amazed how many foreclosures there are in the Detroit area and home sellers can hardly give their homes away.  Muslims have this in common with liberals, they love despaired urban landscape.  Lebanon used to be the ‘Paris’ of the Mediterranean when it was predominately Christian.  Now that it is Islamic, it is now a pile of rubble.  You now have a clear picture of how utopia looks like in the eyes of a liberal and a Muslim.  To a Muslim, Detroit must be the new Mecca.

I am not sure that the residing Muslims have the same idea from a legal sense how Detroit will be governed or if they believe in funding the existing entitlement class.  Name me one Islamic country that has an entitlement system.

Maybe some entrepreneurial Muslim will purchase the auto manufacturing plants and call it ‘Mohammed’s Donkey Carts’.  It would be fun to watch if the unions and the Federal government have the fortitude to attack his enterprise.

Not too soon from now the only residents in the city will be entitlement class and the Islamic immigrants.  It is just a matter of time before Detroit erupts into ‘Paris’ like riots.

Since George Herbert Bush, I realized that I have to hold my nose voting Republican.  The Republicans are on a slow steady road to Socialism but the alternative political party, the Democrats, is not even a viable choice in my fiscal and moral worldview.  I admit that I have only voted for one Democrat in my lifetime and I will state that he was the best candidate for the job.  That candidate was Sherriff Clarence Dupnik in Tucson Arizona when I lived there in 1990-1997.  He was very tough on crime so I did not understand why he was a Democrat.  I am getting off the main topic.

Our country has undoubtedly shifted to the left or a government controlled wealth re-distribution arrangement.  The majority of American citizens prefer enslavement in exchange for a guaranteed entitlement and a false sense of security.  The general population seems to hate others to achieve so much that they would vote themselves government hindrance to their own life’s ability to achieve if it the government policy also attacks another’s high achievement.

Today’s Republicans stay one step to the right side of the political spectrum of the Democrats while claiming they are the conservative political party.  The Republicans of today are as fiscally conservative as the 1960’s Democrats.   John F. Kennedy was more adamant about removing the progressive income tax structure on high income and investments than today’s Republicans.

I seriously doubt that today’s electorate would elect Ronald Reagan President if he were a candidate in the current 2008 campaign.  The Baby Boomers (The Most Spoiled Selfish Generation)

were fiscally conservative in their prime wage earning years trying to save for their own retirements and having a good time on the next generation’s nickel.  In the 1980’s the Baby boomers were willing to vote conservative.  Now as the Baby Boomers are of the ‘golden’ age, they are not shy about demanding all these government entitlements as retirees on the government’s nickel.  You can count them out as a conservative voting base.

Not one of the Republican candidates can say ‘No’ to any request by the electorate for further government regulations and expansion on the tax payer’s nickel of course.  All candidates have ideas how should I run my life.  To all of the Republican candidates, I am a responsible self-sufficient adult and treat me as such.

My two choices of the current Republican candidates are Mike Huckabee and Ron Paul.

Mike Huckabee has the fortitude to speak out and state that he believes in the ‘Fair Tax’ initiative.  Our current income tax structure has become the mechanism of Social Engineering by rewarding and punishing the electorate by vote buying schemes and their voting patterns.  I seriously doubt that the Federal government would ever release its death grip on the income tax.  Control of social engineering by politicians is as addictive as crack is to a drug addict.  Any politician who can follow forward on this task would be a Herculean Hero in my worldview.  Separating the power of taxes and social engineering would be the greatest gift that mankind could do for high achievers and self-sufficient citizens.

I am on the edge of Libertarian ideology but there are some Judeo-Christian moral standards that I cannot deviate from.  Ron Paul has the closest conservative voting record but I have a tough time with some of his ideas.  I highly disagree with his ideas about illegal immigration(invasion) and isolationism.  I believe in attacking the aggressor before they attack you.  Islamism is knocking at the gates of Western Civilization with no intention of civil habitation with us.

The rest of the Republican candidates are progressives with a Republican title.

I wish for the day when a real conservative stands on the podium and stares into the camera and addresses America with this statement, “America, I am not here to coddle you from cradle to grave.  I am not your mother.  I am going to remove all government social engineering regulations and entitlements.  The government’s functions will be limited to the explicit verbiage stated in the constitution.  American citizens, you are expected to be self-sufficient adults.  Pursuit of life’s goals is your responsibility.”  For any presidential candidate whoever spoke those words, I will write them a check for 2000 dollars no questions asked to their campaign.  Until then Republican candidates, best of luck getting elected.  I am forced to vote for you in November 2008 but I will never contribute to your campaign(s).  You are not my choice of political policy but you are the better of two evils.

Animal flatulence’s (farting) seem to be a newsworthy topic these days.  As the perceived panic of ‘Climate Change’ is communicated by the Socialistic Environmental alarmist, domesticated animals & some wild animals are now on the environmentalist target list.

The animal flatulence of the day is kangaroo farts.  Scientists have discovered that there is a special bacteria in the stomachs of kangaroos, which causes them to produce flatulences that contains no methane.  Methane is one of those bad greenhouse gases supposeively.  Scientists want to transfer that bacteria to cattle and sheep who emit large quantities of the harmful gas.

How soon will it be before a scientist estimates the flatulence’s of humans worldwide and its harmful effects on this planet?  I could not find any estimates yet on-line.

If the government can regulate cow flatulence’s, how long will it be before human flatulence is regulated and taxed?  Will the government make me wear a fart-o-meter to determine how much we are emitting for tax purposes?  By our present tax structure I suspect that the human flatulence tax structure will be progressive.  Mexican food is going to be out of my budget……..

Would someone please explain to me how this planet survived 60 million years of dinosaur habitation?  By the manner how we are alarmed by cow flatulence, you might think that one Brachiosaurus would quickly wipe life off this planet.

Why can’t private industry resolve this methane issue?  If there is so much methane in the air, why can’t Calibre or Bic scrub the atmosphere to collect the excess methane for cigar or cigarette lighters?  Yogurt manufactures could introduce a new line of yogurt to make us humans feel less guilty for existing and farting on this planet.  Private business could actually remedy the methane crisis and create jobs in the process.  How is taxing the problem and spending the money to subsidize entitlement programs going to resolve anything but enable more dependency on the government?

Do you think scientist could also do something about the scent of human flatulence’s?  Can they make mine smell like roses?  Or better yet ‘New Car’ smell?

The founders of the Green Hanukkia campaign found that every candle that burns completely produces 15 grams of carbon dioxide.  It appears that Socialist activist have failed in their attempts to stifle or eliminate religion head-on so far.  If they cannot eliminate religion in the courts or by purging it from the social fabric of a culture, try to eliminate it in the name of 'environmentalism'.

The Western civilization seems almost obsessed with measuring every activity that could possibly contribute to ‘Climate Change’.  ‘Global Warming’ is out because the environmental activist cannot prove or convince the world that this warming trend is really occurring.  Any non-normal weather activity must be caused from pesky human activity.

Why hasn’t anyone measured the carbon or green house gas contribution from an Islamic terrorist bombs?  Killing infidels is part of Islamic religion.  Terrorist seem to favor strap-on-bombs and IED’s.  Why can’t the environmental activist use the same logic against Islam and try to stop the war by making them feel guilty about their contribution to ‘Climate Change’?

I thought warm weather was supposed to be the curse of mankind on this planet.  I bet news releases on this important ‘Global Warming’ conference will show conference attendees just suffering from heat exhaustion as they are forced to drink a lot of beer & stay cool in the ocean water.

I believe that ‘Global Warming’ is nothing more than an environmentalist angle to place a stranglehold on wealth of developed free-market economies and enact social engineering by how energy and the food chain is monitored.  All the countries that have ever signed the Kyoto Protocol climate pact are on the receiving end of the wealth distribution. I certainly hope that America never signs the Kyoto Protocol climate pact since Australia’s Labour party bowed down to international pressure.  Shame on our limp wristed British cousins.

Being a resident of Jacksonville FL, ‘Global Warming’ can’t come fast enough.  I look forward to the day in my lifetime where I consider my residence a tropical place on earth.  It would certainly save on my carbon footprint from traveling to more tropical places in the Bahamas.  I would also appreciate a few more months of watching ladies wearing thongs on the beach.

I never understood all the attention OJ Simpson has received about his book "If I Did It: Confessions of the Killer".  It has become a New York Times best-seller.  You would think that a fairly obvious motive and collected crime scene evidence would have convicted OJ but the Justice System is not perfect.  In this day and age describing how one committed a crime is bringing in big dollars.  I have no intention of ever reading OJ’s book.  Better your money and time than mine.

Now Senator Ted Kennedy wants to cash in on this trend and write a similar book.  The publisher of Sen. Ted Kennedy's autobiography is willing to advance him $8.5 million for the Senator to write candid memoirs about his life and his Chappaquiddick episode.

I really wonder if the old senator could even remember all memories of his life after so many years of alcoholism.  I certainly hope for his sake that he employees an Hollywood actor like Charles Heston to speak for him on the audio book version.  I enjoy Charles Heston’s voice.  I don’t think anyone would enjoy listening to drunken slur from Senator Kennedy.

another thought came to mind.  America is always trying to appease the Muslim world instead of standing up as a sovereign country.  Why cannot the horticulturist community rename the plant Poison Ivy to Mohammed?  It spreads quickly and it is highly annoying.  Mohammed would be proud thus allowing America to make friends in the Muslim world.

I always wonder if political power trumps common sense or if these elected politician really do not understand free trade economics.  My personal belief is that these politicians begin to believe that they have absolute power and that the area citizens are now thier indentured servants.  Gifts and favors are to be bestowed onto them or face the wrath of unfavorable laws which will cause you harm.

I was watching channel 47 (CBS) in Jacksonville FL, morning's first mistake, as I was getting dressed for work.  The CBS morning show first had a news clip about the popularity of the teen sensation ‘Hanna Montana’ and how expensive the show tickets could be.  I was shocked to learn that individuals pay from 250 up to 20K dollars for an individual show ticket.  All I can say is better your money than mine.  I thought paying 50 dollars to see George Thorogood at the Florida Theatre in Jacksonville was pricey.  The news clip also mentioned that the concerts would sell out within 4 minutes by sophisticated ticket purchasers who would then resell the tickets.

The next clip was a live interview with Florida Rep Dan Gelber and his 3 daughters complaining how expensive the Hanna Montana were and that he was introducing legislative law to stop the practice of individuals reselling the concert tickets.  Florida Rep Dan Gelber shamelessly used his daughters to complain in the camera how unfair ticket reselling (sometimes called scalping) was.

Since when did it become illegal or unfair to illegally purchase a product and then resell the product/item to someone else who was willing to voluntarily purchase the product/item at your asking price?  If my fellow man/woman wants to spend 500 dollars to see this teen sensation have at it.  Just don’t ask me to loan you money to make your rent payment, the answer is going to be no.

Florida Rep Dan Gelber did you expect someone to mail you free tickets for your family.  Did you expect the tax-payer to subsidize the tickets?  If you want the tickets bad enough, pay the market value price for the tickets.  Typically with teen sensations If you wait another year the fame is gone and you may be watching Hanna Montana perform in a Shopping mall for free during a mall grand opening.

I sent a quick email to Florida Rep Dan Gelber on his web site.  I wonder if he will respond back.

I watched you on CBS Morning show this morning crying about how expensive Hanna Montana tickets are.  Well Dan, that is called free trade economics.  The tickets are purchased at a price that the recipient is willing to pay.  Just dig in your pocket a little deeper and pay 'market' price.  Don't you politicians have better things to do like property tax reform?
